Grupo Sura (Sura Group)
A multi-Latin company focused on financial services such as insurance, pensions, and savings I worked on the project SuraCore - Asesoría y Venta (SuraCore - Advice, and Sale), a microservice-based application that merges insurance policies, rates, and documents from all the headquarters into a centralized application. My contributions to this project were:
- Designed, developed and created enhancements and features for an existing application
- Conducted code reviews across the team and helped maintain a productive work environment
- Created unit tests and provide code coverage to accurately test business logic and functionality
- Worked with internal/external teams to develop software features, making sure the feature was delivered in a timely manner
- Contributed on Agile software development practices based on Scrum, under the direction of the senior project engineer
- Supported QA activities by analyzing defects, identifying the root cause and providing resolutions

Banco Ficohsa (Ficohsa Bank)
Major Honduran bank with headquarters in Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Panama. I worked on a project called Pagos Masivos Regional (Regional Massive Payments), an internal application that allows bank officers to configure and execute massive payments for their clients. Highly generic and usable for the requirements of each country. My contributions to this project were:
- Helped to gather and define customer requirements to develop clear specifications for creating a well-organized project plan
- Created, delivered and maintained scalable system architecture to support high-performance with the application
- Built from scratch, tested and deployed a scalable and highly available frontend application
- Worked successfully in self-directed settings
- Designed, developed and implemented both client-side and server-side features
- Documented all software development methodologies in technical manuals to be used by developers later on
